Adelaide's Baptism

Adelaide was baptized today during the Palm Sunday mass at the Academy Chapel.  She was very well behaved; actually she slept through the entire mass including the part where she had holy water poured over her head.  After the mass, we returned to the house and enjoyed a family brunch.  Thank you to all of those who travelled so far to share the day with Adelaide!

Addie Turns 5 Weeks

Adelaide is already five weeks old.  She is now able to hold up her head and is working on rolling over.  She is ready for several new visitors who will arrive in town tomorrow.  For now, Grandpa John and Uncle Jack are spoiling her death.

Adelaide's Big Weekend

We had a taste of spring this past weekend with weather warm enough to go outside without a jacket. Addie enjoyed a family walk in the park, first trip to church, and met her sponsor-sister, Terri, a cadet at the Academy (from Chicago of all places).

Adelaide is Growing Fast

Adelaide topped the scales at 8 lbs, 15 oz at her 1 month check-up yesterday (at 26 days old). She and Grandpa John have been hanging out at the house now that mama is back at school. Everyone is doing great and little Addie is even starting to sleep for four straight hours during the night.

Addie enjoying her swing and intently watching the mobile go around. She is starting to follow objects with her eyes and loves to look at the faces of those who are holding her.

An exciting three weeks!

It is crazy to think that Addie is already 3 weeks old! This past week Grandma Tammy (who from now on wants to be called Nana) has been visiting and helping out as Brad had to travel to New Orleans. Addie has hd a lot of "first's" in the past few days. She had her first bath, and her first bottle, her first walk in the stroller, and slept for 5 hours straight for the first time (I was most excited about the last one :) Everyone is doing well. Papa Ryan will be arriving on Sunday, and will be taking care of Addie since Brad is back at work and I am back at school.
